As we reported earlier, PAN India 3G service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will be launching Data Sharing Facility for its prepaid mobile customers from 6th April 2016 on wards.
On announcing the scheme on 30th March 2016, BSNL informed that, the community data pack includes all existing Data STVs with selling price equal to or more than Rs. 150/-. Now based on issues raised by BSNL's South Zone Billing Centre, BSNL authorities has decided to launch Special Prepaid Data STVs and Combo Vouchers exclusive for data sharing under community charging scheme.
Instead of existing data vouchers, the following Data STVs / combo vouchersfor data sharing under community charging would be applicable:

All the other terms and conditions will remain same. The sharing of data usage can be done through BSNL Web Selfcare Portal -www.bsnlszprepaid.com (for South Zone) - for prepaid mobile customers. Data Sharing facility will be implemented with effect from 08-04-2016 in South Zone initially, subsequently after being technical feasible, the same will be implemented in other zones.
Under Data Sharing scheme, a prepaid BSNL customer can subscribe a community Data pack (as shown in the above table) and share it with other 4 prepaid customers. Therefore the community data pack allows sharing of data among 5 persons i.e., between a parent and 4 members.
