MTNL eyes Rs 1,000 cr revenue from asset monetisation

State-run MTNL   is targeting a revenue of Rs 1,000 crore in two years from asset monetisation as it looks to turn profitable by next financial year. "The number of telephone subscribers in India increased from 1,036.41 million at the end of December 2015 to 1,043.29 million at the end of January 2016, thereby showing a monthly growth rate of 0.66 per cent," The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) report said.
